Qualification

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a software engineering discipline.

Experience
3-6 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, write, and build tools to improve reliability, latency, availability, and scalability.
• Enable scaling by providing tools, developing training, and augmenting processes.
• Build tools/automate to prevent the re-occurrence of problems in mission-critical products/services.
• Engage with the development team throughout the lifecycle to help develop software for reliability and scale.
• Dynamically manage the workload of the team.
• Design, code, test, and deliver software to automate manual operational work.
• Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of incidents.
• Design self-healing and resiliency patterns.
• Design automated software and product upgrades, change management, and release management solutions.
• Coach or manage teams as applicable.
• Participate in 24×7 support coverage as needed.
• Be self-motivated and willing to work under minimal surveillance.

Skills And Competencies:

1. Mandatory Skills

• Software development in Python or Go
• Expertise in at least one technology stack for designing, coding, testing, and delivering software
• Experience in distributed computing
• Strong experience in cluster setup, administration, reliability, and observability
• Strong experience in setting up monitoring and management with tools
• Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Git workflows, CICD)
• Proficiency in one or more technology domains
• Working knowledge of infrastructure components (e.g., routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage, networks)
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Proficient with cloud architecture (AWS)
• Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform

2. Added Advantage Skills

• Experience in cybersecurity product development
• Working knowledge of monitoring, management tools, and data growth management
